Re: piston size and part number
I believe your tractor originally came with 85mm pistons. The 2000 and 1700 use the same block. Cylinder liners and pistons are different. Likely someone has converted yours to a 2000 2tr20a.

Re: Ym2000 3 pt Hydraulic linkage. What is this?
Page 36 in this operation manual speaks of it. https://www.tractorforum.com/threads/yanmar-ym195-ym195d-ym240-ym240d-diesel-tractor-operation-manual.51760/ This manual covers it also. https://www.tractorforum.com/threads/yanmar-ym240-hydraulic-service-manual-yt7707-165e.51705/ I would think it neces...

Not sure what you are pointing too. If 11-58 on this drawing, then yes, it should be there. that is your feedback rod. https://www.hoyetractor.com/CTGY/20003PTCONTROL.htm

I don't have a definitive answer for you but with your problems draining your tank and starting fresh might be worth the time and money.

Re: F20D wont' pull hill/load
Is there any adjustment on the clutch for this model or way to check it before replacing it? There is a linkage adjustment. You will find a turnbuckle on the clutch linkage that can be adjusted so you have appx 5/8" free play at top of pedal. Could be your problem but if adjustment is close yo...

If engine not pulling down then it sounds like your clutch is going out.

Re: Yanmar 1401D Loosing power Rough idle
I want to think every head gasket leak I have ever heard of on one of these was leaking into the cooling system. Doesn't sound like your problem.
Probably a silly question but is your air filter clean? Does the engine use any oil?

Re: Yanmar 1401D Loosing power Rough idle
I know a sticking fuel rack can cause surging. The rack on your pump should move very very freely. If you had the pump out and tilted it down the rack should slide down. "If" it sticks the governor will be trying to correct. Probably not your problem but something to consider. You don't ne...

Re: Yanmar 1401D Loosing power Rough idle
I would pull the inspection plate off for observation. The governor has a little forked arm that goes over the injection pump rack pin. You want to be careful with that and I'm not sure about the pump pulling out. Some models that pin on the rack has to line up in a certain position in order for the...

Re: Yanmar 1401D Loosing power Rough idle
Is your compression release all the way forward? I would crack the line fitting loose at the injectors with tractor off, then retighten before cranking. This would assure how much togue it is going to take to loosen it after you crank the tractor. Then crank the tractor and slowly loosen one fitting...
